Based in Co.Wicklow Ireland, I design and build bespoke pieces of heirloom quality furniture.

My passion lies in the tools and techniques of old, thus my works are built with this ethos in mind. Working exclusively with hand-tools provides a more intimate relationship with the material. The slight irregularities imparted into the piece by working in this way, are the very things which makes each piece entirely unique.

The joinery and construction techniques used are those which can be found in antique furniture; they have already proven their resilience over time. This heirloom quality is never far from my mind when I am working on a piece. It is a joy to think of something I make being passed down through generations. It is what drives me to work to the highest quality.

When I am not constructing furniture I can be found at the wood-lathe. Here I work in a much less formal way, creating both sculptural and functional turned pieces.
